This week we spotlight one of our very own, talented … makeup artist to the stars
– Lisette Bugeja
Her interview below:
MA: Lisette, you are so accomplished in the field, when did you actually begin your career in make-up?
Lisette: I started my career with my first box of crayons! Creating beauty with my hands came naturally to me, and I got lost in it. As I grew, sitting on the bathroom counter watching my mother do her make up, I was mesmerized at the transformation, not that she wasn’t beautiful, but at the power of becoming a glamorous version of herself. I was hooked!
MA: What has your career been like, what places has it taken you?
Lisette: My career has been one full of very diverse and exciting work. I have worked with Elite models and traveled for the Elite Model of the Year contests, which took me to Spain, South of France and Korea.
I also went onto work in music, touring with Paul McCartney, music videos, theatre … including head makeup artist for “The King and I”, “AIDA”, “The Wizard of Oz”.
I eventually parked my make-up case at NBC, working on Saturday Night Live, TODAY in New York, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, and numerous other projects.
